Phil Basile's Willwood Disc Brake

Graffiti Front Fender Construction

Graffiti front fenders require custom tayloring to each application based on brakes, wheels and tires.

Bonding fiberglass to steel is best achieved using SEM Multi-Purpose panel adhesive.

"My task to mount the front fenders was a bit unusual, since I have Wilood 4 piston calipers in the front.  I am including some documentation and photos for fabricating the parts I made in hopes that it will help some of your customers with the same brake setup.  I am including the backing plate, which mounts to the Wilwood brakes.  I simply removed the bolts holding on the brakes, inserted the new backing plate, made of 1/4" aluminum polished and changed the bolts to ones which are 1/4" longer.  The fender brackets are made from 1/8" steel and I welded gussets at the bends for better strength.  They bolt to the backing plate with 2 1/4" bolts for each bracket.  They look great and are quite strong.  Now if the weather would only get a little warmer, so I could paint them"
